Mountain Asian Market wins True Transactions Award
Mountain Asian Market, a store specializing Burmese foods and products, has won the May True Transactions Award for using accurate scales and scanners in the sale of its Asian fare and products.
“Congratulations to the Mountain Asian Market team on their outstanding use of accurate scales and scanners, a trait of a great business,” Auditor Stinziano said.
Mountain Asian Market opened last year and features a variety of imported Burmese food, including pickled tea, noodles and Mohinga seasoning. It also has other Asian Goods. The market is located at 3649 W. Broad St. in Franklin Township (near Columbus’ West Side).
True transactions award
The True Transactions Award is a recognition given by Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano to businesses that have a flawless record of using accurate scanners and scales that have been verified by Auditor’s office Weights and Measures inspectors. It was first awarded in March 2019, and is given out monthly to deserving businesses in townships, villages and cities across Franklin County.
Auditor Stinziano serves as the Sealer of Weights & Measures for businesses in Franklin County, excluding those located in the City of Columbus, and is responsible for the enforcement of all Ohio laws relating to weights and measures. Weights & Measures inspectors protect consumers by checking any weighing or measuring device that is used in commercial transactions at least once annually, including gas station pumps, grocery store scanners and scales, taxi meters, firewood and more.
